Screening of the hatching control of root-knot nematodes using extract concentrations from oat genotypes

Even though oats (Avena spp.) have the capacity to produce numerous compounds with potential act antagonistically against plant pathogens, studies on genotypic effect of this crop focusing their nematicidal activity are limited. The objective study was verify aqueous extracts prepared biomass oat genotypes, hatching second-stage juveniles root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne javanica and Meloidogyne incognita). bioassays were carried out in a completely randomized design four replications. Eighteen evaluated, consisting combination six genotypes Agro Quaraí, Esteio, Embrapa 139, AF 12202, UPFPS Farroupilha, 1345 Ucraniana, three extract concentrations (5 %, 10 20 % w/v). Three additional treatments added (distilled water, chemical nematicides abamectin, imidacloprid + thiodicarb). suspension containing nematode eggs placed Petri dishes incubated growth chamber for ten days. At 5 w/v concentration levels, genotype observed both species. For control M. 139 had better performance, while Quaraí AF1345 Ucraniana performed when under incognita. Thus, formation might ability suppress population soil, could therefore, be used management nematodes.
